Sustainability is more than a commitment here; it’s a core part of how we operate, innovate, and lead.
Our 2024–2025 Sustainability Summary highlights how Saint Paul RiverCentre, Grand Casino Arena, Roy Wilkins Auditorium, and the Minnesota Wild continue to set the standard for sustainable sports and live events. From achieving 100% renewable electricity use across our campus to earning 26 GOAL Medals and donating nearly 700 culturally tailored meals to support community kitchens, our progress reflects a long-term vision focused on environmental stewardship, operational excellence, and community impact.
This year’s results showcase measurable action. Our operations team diverted waste across at a 62% recycling rate, which is twice the average rate across the U.S., according to the EPA. We've reduced water use to just 7.5 gallons per visitor, and offset more than 1,500 metric tons of CO₂ through partnerships that reinvest travel miles into local tree planting. Investments in clean technology, renewable energy procurement, and a growing fleet of electric vehicles allow us to deliver world-class experiences while reducing environmental impact. These efforts are embedded into everyday decisions, from sustainable purchasing policies to energy-efficient infrastructure that benefits both our partners and our guests.
Equally important is our focus on people. Guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, our sustainability work extends beyond the building to support inclusivity, well-being, and economic opportunity across our region. Through community programs, volunteerism, food donations, and inclusive access initiatives, we’re building stronger partnerships and creating shared value with organizations who share our vision. We’re proud to work alongside corporate and community partners who help us turn sustainability goals into real, lasting impact, and we look forward to continuing that momentum together.
