Grand Casino Arena is Moving to SeatGeek

Find Answers Below to Frequently Asked Questions

As part of our commitment to providing the best possible guest experience, Grand Casino Arena and the Minnesota Wild are transitioning to SeatGeek as our official ticketing partner.

This change is designed to make buying, accessing, managing, transferring, and selling tickets easier than ever. While the technology behind your tickets is changing, your tickets, seat locations, and event experience remain the same.

To help make this transition as smooth as possible, we've listed answers to frequently asked questions below.

Why are you transitioning to SeatGeek?

We're always looking for ways to improve the guest experience. After evaluating our ticketing needs, we selected SeatGeek as our new ticketing partner because it offers a modern, easy-to-use platform for buying, accessing, managing, transferring, and selling tickets.

When is this transition happening?

SeatGeek will become the official ticketing partner on July 1, 2026. During the transition period, some events, noted below, will continue to be managed through Ticketmaster while all others will be managed through SeatGeek.

Do I need to do anything right now?

If you have tickets for an upcoming event that will be transferred to SeatGeek, we recommend creating or verifying your SeatGeek account using the same email address associated with your Wild and Ticketmaster accounts.

Will my tickets automatically be transferred to SeatGeek?

Yes. Tickets purchased through Ticketmaster will automatically transfer to SeatGeek. Your tickets will remain valid, and your seat locations will not change.

What happens to tickets I currently have in Ticketmaster?

Tickets for events occurring before July 1, 2026, will remain accessible through Ticketmaster. Some events, noted below, will continue to be managed through Ticketmaster while all others will be managed through SeatGeek.

Those events are Minnesota TCG Card Show, Lionel Richie and Earth, Wind & Fire, Josh Groban, Alex Warren, Monster Jam, and Modest Premium Automotive Showcase.

Do I need a SeatGeek account?

Yes. To access tickets that have been transferred to SeatGeek, you'll need a SeatGeek account associated with the same email address used for your original ticket purchase.

What if my SeatGeek account uses a different email address?

We recommend using the same email address associated with your Ticketmaster account.

For assistance in updating your email, please reach out to SeatGeek's Fan Support at grandcasinoarena@seatgeek.com.

Will my tickets still be valid?

Yes. All previously purchased tickets remain valid.

Do I need to repurchase my tickets?

No. Your existing purchased tickets will automatically transfer to SeatGeek.

Will my seats change?

No. Your seat locations will remain the same after your tickets are transferred to SeatGeek.

Can I still transfer or sell my tickets?

Yes. Once your tickets are available in SeatGeek, you will be able to manage eligible ticket transfers and resale directly through the platform.

Is SeatGeek secure?

Yes. SeatGeek is a trusted ticketing partner used by professional sports teams, entertainment venues, and major events across North America.

What if I already added my Ticketmaster tickets to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet?

Once your tickets are available in SeatGeek, we recommend removing the old Ticketmaster tickets and adding the new SeatGeek tickets to your mobile wallet.

What if I don't see my tickets in SeatGeek?

Verify you're logged into SeatGeek using the same email address associated with your original ticket purchase.

If you still cannot locate your tickets, please fill out this assistance form.

When will I receive my transferred tickets?

Ticket transfer timing may vary by event. We'll send an email when your tickets are available in SeatGeek.

What happens if I purchased tickets through a resale marketplace?

Tickets purchased through authorized resale channels remain valid. Follow the instructions provided regarding ticket transfer and account access.

How do I send tickets to another person using my SeatGeek account?

You can share access to your tickets with friends by starting a Party, or if your tickets are stored in your SeatGeek account, you can send them directly to another person using SeatGeek’s Transfer feature.

This feature moves tickets between SeatGeek accounts only. It does not apply to tickets delivered through third-party mobile transfer platforms (such as Ticketmaster, AXS, or league apps).

See the video and instructions below for how to do this.

Once tickets are sent using the Transfer feature, they are removed from your account and added to the recipient’s SeatGeek account after they accept them.

When sending tickets, you may be asked for the recipient's phone number. This is supported in most countries but not all. Please refer to this article to see a list of countries for which SeatGeek is currently unable to support text messages.
